Some stories are spun in gold, woven in silence, and passed down through generations. One such story lives in Venkatagiri, a heritage town in Andhra Pradesh known for its fine, regal weaves and time-honored craftsmanship.
For over 300 years, Venkatagiri weavers have created sarees once worn by royalty during the Velugoti dynasty. Their work — soft, lustrous, and intricate — earned them the title of royal drapes. But today, only around 200 weavers remain from over 2,000, as power looms and mass production threaten this delicate legacy.

Venkatagiri sarees are celebrated for their feather-light feel, fine cotton and silk textures, and intricate zari borders. The highlight is their Jamdani weaving, a painstaking extra-weft technique used to craft motifs like peacocks, florals, and temple borders — each telling its own story.
Our Ushvii Venkatagiri Edit honors this rich lineage. Every saree is handcrafted on traditional pit looms, using techniques passed down over generations. With handwoven Jamdani pallus and temple-inspired borders, these sarees are a perfect blend of cultural heritage and contemporary elegance.
Lightweight yet luxurious, they’re designed for today’s woman — one who celebrates tradition while defining her own. Because at Ushvii, every thread carries meaning, and every drape is a tribute to timeless artistry.
”Let this be more than just a saree you wear — let it be a legacy you carry forward."
